The trip we propose for this all-Italian week is more that a simple bike tour. It is a gastronomic journey along the most renowned wine regions in Italy. Experiencing new fragrances and tastes, this journey will introduce you to an area that connects the Iseo Lake to the Garda Lake, passing by the historic city of Brescia. These territories are home to great natural vegetation, with a characteristic Mediterranean flora that includes olive trees and vines, covering the gentle hills, which make this territory a perfect exploration site on a bike seat.
We will depart from the Franciacorta area, known all over the world for the Franciacorta D.O.C wine, and we will visit the Majolini wine cellar and experience the hospitality of the Agriturismo al Rocol. We will then reach the Iseo Lake through hills covered by vines and cycle paths. This glacial Lake surrounded by tall mountains circles the “Montisola”: the biggest lake island in Europe, where we will admire old fisher ports and we will discover the traditional methods of fish conservation.
From an historical point of view, we will go back in time to the Roman era and to the middle Ages. We will bike on the cycle paths that run along the River Oglio until we get to the Soncino Castle, the castle with medieval origins that represents the power of the noble families of the time.
We will enjoy the history of Brescia, music included, where a private jazz concert will create a magical night. Brescia is an ancient roman city dating back to the 1200 BC, which later became a medieval town with the arrival of Charlemagne. We will visit the ancient ruins of the Capitolino temple and the castle by bike, guided by an expert touristic guide.
The Garda Lake will be the beautiful background to our tour; we will enter the hinterland characterized by gentle hills and steep mountains. We will visit the Belmonte di Muscoline wine cellar, which is one of the few organic wine cellars in the area, where we will taste their products, from wine to fruit juices and jam. We will then reach Salò and we will officially be on the Garda Lake, the big lake that measures 229 miles and touches three Italian states: namely, Trentino, Veneto, and Lombardy. The old city of Salò was the seat of the Republic of Salò during the fascist period and now is a tranquil little town with its nice harbor and boardwalk.
Cycling toward Sirmione, we will cross the Valtensi, discovering green hills covered in olive trees and vines, where we won’t miss the tasting of the typical local wine called Lugana.

At the end of the trip we will have crossed three wine regions, visited wine cellars and tasted local products every day, cycled immersed in the nature surrounding the Garda Lake and the Iseo Lake, and learned about the history and culture of the region thanks to the visit of Roman Brescia and the jazz concert.
